Styling is very important in film. For me, I always remember the way the actors dress . The clothing depicts the character and gives you a strong feeling about their role. I picked out some of my favorite tees from some classic films. Here they are in no particular order:
Gleaming the Cube - Christian Slater
The Cramps were such a in your face don’t give a fuck type of punk rock band. Their graphics were always on point. Clearly Slater was in that mindset and killed it with this one!
DO THE RIGHT THING- BILL NUNN.
This ironic graphic was made famous by Radio Raheem in Do the Right Thing. This urban pop graphic became a phrase still used in Brooklyn today. I really love the colors and the font. I have never seen an original like this, hopefully one day I will find one and frame it!THE CLIENT- BRAND RENFRO
One of the greatest rock bands of all time, Led Zeppelin. This tye-dye gem was worn throughout the movie and always made me think, where did he get this?MUD- JACOB LOFLAND.
First off, this young actors name was neck bone in the film, how sick is that! The original Fugazi tee just added to the realness of his character. Fugazi, for me, was the first introduction into post hardcore music. This era set off my teenage years and brought me back when I saw it!
